ABOUT GLOGLO

Leonardo Seixas, better known as "GloGlo," is the founder of GloGloBJJ. His journey in Jiu-Jitsu began in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1989, when he was only 13 years old. He initially trained at the renowned Gracie Humaita headquarters, located within his school, Colegio Padre Antonio Vieira, under the guidance of Grandmaster Helio Gracie. During his time there, he received both private and group lessons from Masters Rolker and Royler Gracie.

In 1992, Leonardo relocated to Barra da Tijuca, where he trained with Master Carlos Gracie Jr., the founder of Gracie-Barra and the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation. After a decade of dedicated training, he earned his black belt from Master Carlos Gracie Jr.

At Gracie-Barra, Leonardo had the privilege of training with some of the world's greatest Jiu-Jitsu fighters, including Mauricio Mariano "Tinguinha," Roberto "Gordo," Alexandre "Soca," Antonio "Nino" Schembri, Vinicius "Draculino," Helio "Soneca," Joao Paulo "Big-Head," Marcio "Pe de Pano," Marcio Feitosa, and numerous Gracie family members like Renzo, Ralph, Ryan, Rollezinho, Igor, and Roger. This high-level training enabled him to develop the agility and technical skills of a lightweight fighter, despite competing in the heavyweight class.

Simultaneously with his training at the Barra Gracie Academy, Leonardo began teaching Jiu-Jitsu classes in 1996. Over his 13 years of teaching, he has nurtured several Jiu-Jitsu champions. In 1998, he also became involved with the Confederacao Brasileira de Jiu-Jitsu, where he gained valuable experience organizing the Brazilian, Pan American, and World Championships, thereby contributing to the overall growth of Jiu-Jitsu.

Today, Leonardo reflects on his 20 years of experience and direct involvement in Jiu-Jitsu as a student, competitor, teacher, and tournament organizer, feeling nothing but gratitude. He acknowledges that Jiu-Jitsu has significantly influenced his character, morals, and lifestyle in a positive way. This knowledge is passed on daily to his students and friends, providing them with the same opportunities and benefits that he has enjoyed throughout his Jiu-Jitsu journey.
